Mount Ida Summit View
Rocky Mountain National Park, Colorado
A few summers before this image was taken, wife Cindy and I attempted to climb Mount Ida, but were turned back by threatening weather. Although I would have liked to have summited, I was also relieved to be done with the hike, as both of my knees were in excruciating pain from many years of carrying heavy packs of camera gear up and down mountain trails. I was in so much pain that on the descent I vowed to do something about it. In August and December of 2023 I had both of my knees fully replaced, and the results have been gratifying! Cindy and I returned to the Mount Ida trail in July of 2024 and I was able to charge up the mountain (or at least charge as much as a nearly 65-year-old man can!) to enjoy this stunning view of the incredible and seldom visited Gorge Lakes Basin below. Artisan Glossy Metal Print (Ready to Hang)

Metal prints offer a beautiful, glossy, sleek option for brightening your wall spaces. They are created by a process called dye-sublimation, whereby dyes are converted to gas and infused into a thin sheet of aluminum through the combined forces of heat and pressure, creating a near-permanent, water-resistant , archival print that can literally be displayed in a wide variety of settings and suffer no ill consequences. Metal prints are lightweight and scratch-resistant, and have a superior glossy finish that eliminates any barrier to letting the colors, sharpness and vibrancy of an image shine through. Like our museum-grade acrylic prints, they arrive ready to hang with an inset floater frame that gives the piece even more dimensionality. The archival nature of dye-sub prints means your print will retain its color for 100 years or more. The color and detail and durability of dye-sub metal prints offer a beautiful, contemporary way to display fine art in your home or office – or your humidity-prone secret getaway deep in the Amazon rainforest!
Allow approximately 10 days production time before the finished piece is shipped. The price of your print includes shipping to your door anywhere in the Lower 48 states. Please inquire for shipping rates to Alaska, Hawaii, or international destinations.
Ultra-Premium Museum-Grade Acrylic (Ready to Hang)

Lumachrome TruLife® acrylic prints are the crème de la crème of print display options. They offer super sharp, vibrant prints that appear as though they are lit from within, creating an almost three-dimensional effect. The minimally-reflective high-grade acrylic allows the beauty of the image to shine through without distraction. Like our aluminum prints, they feature a float mount that gives the finished piece even more dimensionality. Finally, the archival quality of these museum-grade pieces means they will retain their color for 120 years.

Archival Print for Framing

This is the best option for purchasing fine art prints that you would like to have framed in a more traditional style. Prints are made with archival paper and inks, rendering sharp detail and vibrant colors that will resist fading for decades. Prints are shipped either flat or rolled, depending on size. This is by far the best printing solution for those who prefer to take their print to the framer of their choice to have it matted and/or framed.
Please allow up to 10 days production time for prints up to 24x36 inches, longer for larger sizes. Shipping is free to any location in the Lower-48 states. Please inquire for shipping rates to Alaska, Hawaii or international destinations.
(Prints may be shipped with a thin white border, or white margins on each end for larger prints, for safer handling. Image area is the actual size ordered.)
