While seeing the Matterhorn in Switzerland was my childhood fantasy, my wife's obsession since her teen years has been on the Everest region of Nepal. Not that I had anything against seeing these amazing peaks in person! For her it wasn't just the incredible mountain terrain, but also the culture of the Nepali people that made the Himalayas her most sought after destination. And so we set out on an adventure to trek from Lukla to Gorak Shep, one stop before Everest Basecamp. Watch for a more in-depth blog post about this adventure of a lifetime.
